The Coventry Township Zoning Commission (ZC) will hold a public meeting for Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 6:00 PM at Coventry Township Community Center, 335 East Willowview Drive, Akron, OH 44319 to consider the following text amendment to the Coventry Township Zoning Resolution:

2026-02-ZC.  Coventry Township Zoning Commission, 68 Portage Lakes Drive, Coventry Towhship, OH 44319

The proposed zoning text amendment will edit text in the Coventry Township Zoning Resolution Section 28 Short Term Rental (STR) conducting some housekeeping edits, clarifying parking, increasing the required distance between STRs, and requiring a fire inspection for new and renewing STRs.

The Zoning Inspector forwarded the proposed zoning text amendment as required per Ohio Revised Code Section 519.12(E)(1)(a) on March 20, 2026, to the Summit County Planning Commission (SCPC) where they recommended approval after review at their April 30, 2026, meeting.
